Attendance

We believe that good attendance is vital if children are to achieve their potential at school.  There is a strong correlation between good attendance and high achievement. Pupils with 95% attendance and above go into a termly raffle for a selection of prizes. We ask parents to work with us to ensure that, wherever possible, a child attends school, and if this is not possible, that they notify us immediately.  However, the parent is responsible for ensuring the regular attendance and punctuality of their child/ren at school (under Section 7 of the Education Act 1996). Should the child fail to attend regularly then the parent is guilty of an offence under Section 444 of the Education Act 1996. Attendance is monitored very closely and we will keep you informed and offer support if there are any concerns. Our School Attendance Officer is Graham Cartwright on 01925 442915.

The pupil entrance doors are closed at 8.45am. Any pupil coming in to school after this time should enter school through the front entrance and be given a detention slip. Persistently late pupils will have sanctions.
