Reward EVENT Invitation – Friday 19th December 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to inform you that there is the opportunity for your child to attend a trip to Warrington Cineworld on Friday 19th December 2025. We have been awaiting a response from the cinema regarding availability for the last day of term and, while they are not opening for school trips on this day, we have been informed they can facilitate places for our school on Friday 19 December, with a swift turnaround in securing the places needed.
This trip is a reward event, with criteria to meet in order to attend. We want to recognise students who are meeting the school attendance target and regularly demonstrate positive behaviours. The cost of the trip is £4.50, which should be paid via the iPay online payment system. The link to make the payment is on the school website and here https://www.ipayimpact.co.uk, then select School Shop then School Trips.
To confirm, payment can only be made via iPay.
In order for students to attend, they must:
- Achieve 96%+ attendance for half term 2 (3rd November – 19th December 2025)
- Achieve positive conduct points (House Points minus Negative Behaviour Points = Positive)
- Not owe any money to school for trips, green card lunches, or bus fares
Please note, all students had been informed that attendance and conduct was to be a key factor in determining who would receive invites to an end of term event, with all being offered a ‘fresh start’ in relation to attendance from half term 1. As always, exceptional circumstances and authorised absence will be considered and will not prevent any student from attending the event.
There has also been much correspondence in relation to the Arbor Parent Portal, with this the best way to keep up to date with your child’s conduct, where clicking into the behaviour section will allow you to see the breakdown of any logs, as well as viewing ‘lifetime incidents’.
Those students who are on track to meet the criteria must proceed with securing their place on the trip. I apologise, but with the late notice from the cinema, I need to inform them of numbers by the end of the day Friday 5th December. Payment should be made no later than 13:00 on Friday 5 December to secure a place for your child.
Where there are issues in relation to a student not meeting the criteria, after paying to attend, a full refund will be made and parents/carers notified.
Further information to support your decision in allowing your child to attend the trip:
- Students do not need to wear school uniform; however, can I reinforce Mrs Scott-Herron’s previous messages that cycling shorts or crop tops cannot be worn on non-uniform days.
- Students are to make their own way to Warrington Cineworld (Time Square Unit 8, Warrington, WA1 2LH), with the meeting time from 09:15, in readiness for registration and taking seats
- Students to bring their own refreshments.
- Once in the cinema, students will not be able to leave the building until the end of the film.
- Students will be dismissed directly from the cinema, where parents/carers should note that the films will end before the 15:00 end of school day timing, therefore granting permission for their child to leave earlier than if they remained in school.
- There will be Christmas Festivities in school on this day for those not attending the cinema, with students having the opportunity to choose to participate in an afternoon of fun activities, including sports, films, music, computing and much more.
To secure your child’s place, please make the payment via iPay or send an email to your child’s Head of Year if you wish to pay using your child’s free school meal voucher.
