Every year there are competitive matches between all Warrington Schools during the Autumn Term. We have teams in the year 7, 8 and 9 leagues this year and whilst not yet up to the standard of the Netball Super League teams, there are definite signs of progress and some potential stars of the future.

Poppy McHale in Year 10 is currently the most accomplished netball player at the school and is involved in the sport outside school.

Priestley House Sports Captain Laura Nicholson has represented the school at netball, cross country and athletics in the past but has currently taken a break from training to concentrate on her GCSEs. However she remembers how enjoyable it was to play for the school and has this message for any girls who play netball or would like to; “Many other schools in Warrington are bigger than ours and have more players to choose from but as long as you work together as a team the results will come. If you want to join in, go and see Mrs Wright and tell her or just turn up on practice nights. If you’re interested in playing outside school, see Cath Jones at the Ball Hall office. They have teams for various age groups and organise coaching sessions and camps during the holidays. You’ll enjoy it and stay fit as well.”
