Overview of subject

The ICT Department offers GCSE courses in Business Studies and ICT. We offer an iGCSE course in Computing. The department is committed to giving all students an understanding of the role that these subjects play in the world. We are particularly pleased with recent changes in the National Curriculum which has put the emphasis of our department’s work back on computing and computational skills.

The department has two computer suites of thirty machines each. The computers are loaded with a range of software including a number of free software applications which are used regularly. This enables students to easily access these applications at home. A number of the computers are dual bootable and loaded with Ubuntu and Windows operating systems to further enrich the experience for our students.
