Dear Parents/Carers
We are excited to offer our Year 7 students the opportunity to attend a residential trip to Tyn-y-Felin, a fantastic outward bounds centre located on the beautiful island of Anglesey. As you may be aware, TCAT now holds the lease to this facility and has plans to expand its use in the future.
We have been allocated a set number of places for the trip which will take place across three visits. If we receive more applications than we have places available, a draw will be done to allocate students fairly.
Trip Details
Dates:
Group 1 – Monday 22nd September – Wednesday 24th September
Forms: 7SC and 7JJ
Group 2 – Monday 29th September – Wednesday 1st October
Forms: 7EH and 7DS
Group 3 – Wednesday 1st October – Friday 3rd October
Forms: 7AA and 7NK
Duration – 3 days, 2 nights
Cost – £160.00 which includes transport, food and all the activities. We will attempt to keep students within their Form groups, with two Forms attending each visit and students will sleep in single sex dormitories.
This residential trip offers a great opportunity for our Year 7 students to cement existing friendships and build new ones in a supportive and engaging environment. Through a range of outdoor activities, students will develop teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. The experience will also build independence, resilience and confidence, as students step outside their comfort zones and take on new challenges.
Payment for the trip should be made online via iPay. Your child will be given iPay details and log in information on Thursday 4th September to bring home to you, so please check their school bags if you do not receive this.

The deadline for both deposit payment and form submission are Friday 12th September 2025.
There will be an option to pay the trip in full or as part of a payment plan to split the costs over the following dates:
Deposit due by 12/09/25: £80
Second payment due by 22/10/25: £80
