Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that our Year 11 students enjoyed celebrating at their Prom on Thursday evening at The Park Royal Hotel. It was wonderful to see them all looking so smart and enjoying such a memorable occasion. I also hope that your child is now enjoying a well-earned break after completing what has been one of the longest GCSE examination seasons in recent years. We are looking forward to celebrating the culmination of their five years of hard work with them on GCSE Results Day.
GCSE Results Day will take place on Thursday 20th August 2026. Students will be able to collect their results from the Main School Hall between 9:30am and 11:30am. If a student is unable to collect their results in person and would like someone else to collect them on their behalf, they must provide written permission in advance. This can be sent by email to Miss Morris at jmorris@boteler.org.uk or by submitting a signed letter clearly stating the name of the person authorised to collect the results. Any results that remain uncollected will be posted to students’ home addresses on Friday 21st August 2026.
Students should check their personal email accounts regularly, as the college or sixth form they have applied to will contact them directly regarding the next steps following the publication of their results. To support students on the day, our independent Careers Adviser from Careers Connect will be available to offer guidance and advice, particularly for anyone who wishes to discuss their next steps or explore alternative options following the release of their results.
We recognise that Results Day can bring a mixture of excitement and nerves, and we look forward to welcoming our Year 11 students back into school to celebrate their achievements and support them as they move on to the next stage of their education. Thank you for your continued support throughout your child’s time at Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School. We wish all our Year 11 students every success and look forward to seeing them on Results Day.
