Destined for the charts

Band3A group of Boteler year 10 GCSE Music students have enjoyed their class performances so much that they have decided to start a band.

The talented group will be performing as one of the warm-up acts at this year’s High School Warrington talent competition and are hoping to perform at events at Christmas and Boteler Out Loud. Singer, Jake has also managed to secure himself a place in the next round of the competition as a solo artist.

English Teacher Mrs Hughes says “I was lucky enough to hear them perform a fantastic rendition of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ and they sounded amazing!” They describe themselves as a rock/ blues band and enjoy playing songs such as ‘Slide’ and ‘Fast Car.’

The boys are devoting a lot of time to practising, not just in their music lessons, but also giving up some of their lunchtimes and breaks also. These are definitely one to watch!
