The Art Department is housed in two large, purpose built rooms. We currently have a Head of Art and Art Teacher who work four days a week. Both of our teachers are passionate about the subject and are continually introducing new ideas through their own love of the subject, visiting exhibitions and seeking new inspiration. The Department  currently runs after school sessions for our GCSE students each week on Wednesdays until 4.30pm.

At KS3 we provide the foundations needed to develop art skills through a series of different projects.

At KS4 we develop these skills  further through a variety of materials and themes. Art is a popular option choice at KS4 and we currently have three groups in Y11. We follow the AQA Fine Art Qualification, which consists of 60% coursework and 40% exam. The exam is made up of a preparatory period of around ten weeks and then a final piece developed over ten hours.
