a day in lockdown life at boteler

From book drop offs to online classroom learning – we are open, but not as you’d usually know it. Take a look at our ‘Day in Lockdown Life at Boteler’ video, and catch a glimpse of current in-school life.

The average day starts with Headteacher Mrs Scott-Herron welcoming the students who are children of critical worker parents and carers through the door, asking each one how they’re doing and offering them a hot bagel straight from the school kitchen. The Boteler Bus still does its rounds collecting students to bring to school, then out again to do drop off books, laptops and care packages for those families in need. In school, there is a buzz (albeit a quieter buzz than usual) of students working within their bubbles, undertaking their online lessons for the school day. Teachers are on a rota to supervise these bubbles, and some teachers also choose to be in their classrooms to teach their live lessons to those students at home.

We’re more than a school, we’re more than an institution; we are a community. Through God we care about each and every one of you.

We urge those families who would like extra support to contact us: info@boteler.org.uk.
