Christmas Jumper Day 2017

On Wednesday 20th December Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School will be supporting ‘Christmas Jumper Day’.  We will be asking the whole school community, staff and students to ‘do their bit in a Christmas knit’ to support ‘Save the Children’.

From helping those affected by crises, to granting wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions, to funding educational support for disadvantaged children all across the world, the effects of Christmas Jumper Day will give hope to families in the UK and overseas.

I will again be coordinating a Christmas Jumper Day on behalf of the school this year and I would inform you of our plans. On Wednesday 20th December 2017 we would like all students to donate 50p in order to wear their Christmas jumpers. Full school uniform will still be expected and the added extra is the Christmas jumper.  We would ask that students still wear a school shirt and tie underneath their jumpers. Blazers can be worn but will not be compulsory on the day. Donations will be collected during form time.

By participating in ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ we can take some comfort in the fact that we have been able to help others and make a difference at this time of year. This is a truly fantastic cause but we must stress the importance to students of our High Expectations, Aspirations and Standards and that they continue to be adhered to on this day.
